The 13th August 1961 is a warm summer day. Most Berliners do not work. 16 years ago, the war that devastated the city and divided into four sectors. Now you go to church on Sunday, sitting in cafes and enjoying the summer.

Items with machine guns stand at a distance of several meters behind the barriers. The train no longer travels to West Berlin . The city is divided. Final.
Yet no one suspects the extent of the disaster. Quietly standing in the East and West Berlin before the barbed wire. You can almost shake hands. You could simply move the wire away or jump over it to him. But nothing happens. It is hardly cried.There are no major riots.
