“Desperate Housewives” missing closure in 2012 due to lower audience


Next year the popular women of Wisteria Lane will become part of television history. The U.S. network ABC announced that it would end the series "Desperate Housewives" when the current season, the eighth, finished in 2012.
The series starring Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, and Eva Longoria tells the secret life and loves of a women living in the confines of a quiet street not a wealthy neighborhood, Wisteria Lane.
"Desperate Housewives" became very popular after birth in 2004, winning numerous awards and reaching many countries. However, like all others, its popularity has been declining over the years. Its creator, Marc Cherry, said Sunday that he wanted the series ended with a flourish rather than limp for several years.
