FOUR 'Tan' took their qualification certificates yesterday, a day after the Presidential Elections Committee (PEC) decided to give it to their qualifications.
Former Deputy Prime Minister, Dr Tony Tan, was the first to arrive at the Elections Department about 9:30 am to take the certificate.
Speaking to reporters, Dr Tan said he was confident that Singaporeans will choose wisely when to vote in the presidential election on 27 August.
Accompanied by his wife, Mary Tan, and about 40 supporters, Dr Tan said:
'Difficult times are an important reminder of the responsibility and care of the owned the President. "
