Sterilize mosquitoes to stop malaria

Malaria
Researchers at Imperial College London (United Kingdom) have sterilized male mosquitoes genetically engineered to block a gene required for sperm production. This aim to prevent the transmission of malaria and reduced the potential for large outbreaks of the deadly disease.
